Hundreds of Islanders and holiday-makers took part in the attempt to create the world’s largest dinosaur yesterday (Sunday) on Appley Beach in Ryde.
Masterminded by Roger Crouch, the man behind Pirate Day in Hastings, where the ‘Largest Gathering of Pirates’ gained Hastings an entry into the Guinness Book of Records, yesterday’s dino attempt had the perfect conditions to bring out the crowds. Glorious sunshine and a beautiful sandy beach.
Photos and videos
Jeremy Cangialosi from WightPod was up in a small aircraft shooting on behalf of VisitWight and managed to capture not only some great aerial photographs but even a short video of the human dinosaur once everyone was in place.
Well done to organisers of the challenge which will hopefully bring more attention to the Isle of Wight.
