Today is the last day that the Isle of Wight council says you can give them your views on the future of the libraries.
The summary of their suggestion is to close nine of the Island’s libraries, leaving just two open – one in Ryde, the other in Newport. They say they don’t have the money to run them.
After VentnorBlog broke the story of possible massive cuts to the library service way back in November last year, we’ve reported each twist & turn on the libraries and the rising anger of many Island residents.
