Stephens: Striving to support residents through the unprecedented cost of living crisis
Councillor Ian Stephens, deputy leader and Cabinet member for poverty, said,
“Please don’t be embarrassed about asking for help — support with the cost of living is available for all families this summer holiday.
“The council has been striving to support residents through the unprecedented cost of living crisis that has impacted so many.
“We know that many families are struggling with daily living necessities like energy and food costs, meaning that activities or a family holiday are out of the question.
“All children and families should get the chance to have fun together during the summer holidays. Please check out our Save on Summer website to find out about free and low cost things to do on the Island, such as our Holiday Activities and Food programme.
“We want to make sure that all Island residents are aware of the financial help and support that is available to them. We’d urge people to find out what they could be eligible for as it could really make a difference to them financially.”
