Isle of Wight Festival weather forecast

If you’re heading to the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend and looking out of the window this morning with dismay at the wet and very windy weather, fear not.

We’ve just checked the Met Office forecast and it looks as though it’s not going to be too bad over the next few days.

Other areas in the south are subject to a Met Office weather warning for strong wind today and although the IW is not included in that warning, we are expected to experience high winds, so if you’re camping, make sure you whack those tent pins in securely.

Windy, but mostly dry
According to the Met Office forecast for Newport, Isle of Wight today (Thursday) we’ll see wind gusts of up to 43 mph, but sunny intervals throughout the day and a clear night.

Friday brings with it a mixture of cloudy and sunny weather with wind gusts of up to 28 mph.

Saturday has sunny weather up until 4pm and followed by sunny intervals, but with the wind gusts back up into the 40s.

Soggy Sunday
Sunday unfortunately at the moment, looks like heavy rain.

Our advice is to make the most of the sunshine, make sure you have wet weather gear for Sunday and have yourselves a cracking time!
