Isle of Wight Youth Trust welcomes new trustees to enhance mental health support

The Isle of Wight Youth Trust, the leading Island charity dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people, is proud to announce the appointment of two new trustees to its Board: Ros Parker, Principal and CEO of the IW College, and Vicki Sitch, a Consultant and Specialist in organisational change and transformation.

These appointments mark a significant step in the charity’s strategic development, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to help guide its mission of empowering young people to thrive.

A wealth of experience from the education sector
Ros Parker OBE brings a wealth of experience from the education sector as Principal and in senior leadership roles across colleges and educational organisations.

Ros is a strategic leader with a background in transforming organisations to achieve outstanding results and ongoing financial and operational sustainability.

Ros has worked tirelessly to improve student outcomes with a particular passion for improving student wellbeing, equality and inclusivity.

Ros has a deep understanding of the challenges facing young people today and she will play a key role in shaping the charity’s strategic and operational direction.

A strong background in organisational change
Vicki Sitch joins the board with a strong background in organisational change, having led complex transformation programmes across both public and private sectors. Her leadership experience spans across delivering organisation change including performance management, culture change, corporate governance and system implementation.

Vicki also runs a local award-winning successful glamping business and has previously served as a governor at The Bay CE School. Her expertise will support the charity’s internal development and long-term sustainability as it continues to grow and adapt to the evolving needs of young people.

Chair of Trustees, Kay Boycott said,
