Medina Marching Band at Christ the King College

Isle of Wight’s remembrance festival unites community for veterans and families

The Festival of Remembrance returns to Christ the King College on Friday 7th November at 7.30pm, offering an evening of music, reflection and tribute to honour those who served.

A night of music and tribute
This year’s festival promises a diverse line-up, featuring the Medina Marching Band, the Isle of Wight Highland Pipes and Drums, singer Rosie Sales, the IW College Public Services group, the Island Free School Jazz Band, the IW Air Cadets and Cowes and Ryde Sea Cadets.

A traditional Act of Remembrance will anchor the evening. This Drum Head Service, led by the Royal British Legion’s County Chaplain Rev. Whatley, will include Standard Bearers from the Island’s Royal British Legion branches, as well as representatives from local military and youth organisations.

Fifth year of community support
Now in its fifth year, the festival has established itself as a poignant evening that unites community members in remembrance and celebration.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, supporting veterans and their families.
