Last week we had British Egg Week and Chocolate Week 2011, this week it’s National Baking Week.
The idea behind the campaign is to get people back in the kitchen. Why? Because they say that baking makes people happy.
Sounds like a good enough reason to us.
The go on to say, “It conjures up images of families in the kitchen “” delicious smells throughout the house and shared treats when they come out of the oven. Baking with children is great family fun “” and one of the best activities to be shared by all ages, from toddlers through to pensioners.”
The National Baking Week website encourages us to add our recipes, so why not tell us yours too.
We might just have a go at one of our favourites, Lemon Meringue Pie!
