As you know, we’ve been running DVD reviews by writer, Liam Madden, on the site for a couple of years now.
Liam has been working his way through the fantastic collection of DVDs in Ventnor Library and it’s been a great resource for finding out what’s available.
Another Liam has been in touch with us recently, keen to flex his writing muscles for VentnorBlog.
Liam Patrick is studying for an MA in Playwriting at Royal Holloway University of London.
Caught between the cinema and Compton
He tells us that he grew up on the Island and divides his time equally between watching films and hanging out at Compton Bay.
Already experienced in writing reviews, Liam presented a film review radio show during his undergrad on Saturday mornings and says that some of his favourite films include Pan’s Labyrinth, Stand By Me, Dog Soldiers and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Look out on VB for Liam’s cinema film reviews. The first is the film based on the book by Lionel Shriver, We Need To Talk About Kevin, coming later today.
