The Isle of Wight’s own “Classique Dance Studios” showcased their dynamic skills at the recent Ventnor Fringe Festival last week.
Their performance, titled “Cirque du Classique,” took place in the charming setting of the Magpie Tent, causing a stir with an eclectic blend of daredevil acts that left the crowd in awe.
Highlights of the evening
The show consisted of ten separate acts, each with its own unique theme. The various disciplines on display included pole acro, aerial dance, contortion, classical dance, and theatrical performance.
The versatility of the troupe was clearly evident in the variety and skill with which they executed these demanding physical feats.
“Daredevil acts that drop jaws” would be an apt summary of the evening, with the audience captivated by the audacious performance.
A note from the studio owner
Chanique, the owner of Classique Dance Studios, expressed immense pride in the performers.
“Proud is an understatement,” she enthused, highlighting the hard work and determination of the studio’s elite students.
These traits shone through in their performance, suggesting that these students might be “superstars in the making”.
