Money raised from concert will fund new stained glass window for church

The audience in St Saviour’s Church, Totland, on Saturday evening proved to be sturdy and resilient, as well as enthusiastic and appreciative and enjoyed two hours of entertainment in temperatures of 31 and 32 degrees Centigrade.

They were rewarded with songs from a wide variety of genres including ’The Sun Has Got His Hat On’, ’You’re My World’, ’Sloop John B’ with the men‘s choir, and ’My Land’ which was the song dedicated to the people of Ukraine for this concert.

The soloists this time were Pat Attrill with ’The Rose’, and Elizabeth Habens with ’The Nun’s Chorus’ and ’I Could Have Danced All Night’.

New stained glass window
The sum of £843 was raised and will be used to have a new stained glass window, yet to be commissioned, made and installed as part of St Saviour’s Centenary Project.
