New Exhibitions at Quay Arts This Month

The Solent Project: Painting the Two Coasts:  Kurt JacksonArt fans, don’t forget that there are two new exhibitions coming up at Quay Arts in Newport this month.

First up is The Solent Project: Painting the Two Coasts by Kurt Jackson.

It starts on the 17 January and runs in the Michael West Gallery until 28 February.

It’s a rare chance to see one of Britain’s leading and highly acclaimed landscape painters, exhibiting paintings inspired by the Solent landscape.

Downstairs in the Rope Store Gallery Marius Von Brasch’s Oedipus Diving, Shadow Games runs until 21 February.

Oedipus Diving, Shadow Games:  Marius von BraschThis exhibition presents two recent series of Marius’ paintings on hardwood panels and some related works on paper.

For Marius, painting is a way of exploring and expressing a powerful driving force within and the resulting creative dialogue is a gateway to unexpected discoveries and resolutions on a personal, artistic and societal level.
