Southampton had the best of the racing overall, winning the Aggregate cup.

Newport Women’s Masters crew
The stand out performance of the day came from the Newport Women’s Masters crew of Julia Wilks, Julia Coulson, Julie Clarke, Fran Ladd, and coxed by Nick Salter.

In their first ever regatta race they won the Masters 40+ event, although the average age of the crew is 58.

Small Boats competition
Sunday brought the Small Boats competition. Connor Garner and Toby Batchelor competed for Newport in the Men’s Novice sculls.

Toby came up against the finalist from 2022, Ben Sanderson from Ryde, in the first round and lost by a canvas.  Connor lost to the eventual winner Joe Hoyland from Poole in the semi-final.

Newport’s J16 quad of William Loveday-Powell, Boris Hare, Hayden Tiffin and Atur Rozvodovski were second in their final.
