NewsBiscuit our favourite satirical news site hit the jackpot yesterday with a fabulous story about a non-story.
Reading of how a man from Freshwater managed to escape the tragedy of the stricken Air France plane that disappeared over the Atlantic – because he wasn’t on the plane – sounded very much like some of the stories we’ve read in any local newspapers.
How about the ‘story’ which came out on Friday on the CP Website.
“A TOILET roll set alight in a public toilet, near Newport Post Office, yesterday (Thursday), was dealt with by firefighters.
A fire crew from Newport was called out at around 10am, following reports of smoke billowing from the gents’ toilet in Post Office Lane. The fire was out on arrival.”
