The Isle of Wight NHS Trust have been thanked for supporting not-for-profit Community Interest Company, Care In The Garden.
The Trust have purchased 14 outdoor picnic bench table sets and two large wooden planters.
Using charitable funds, the purchase has helped support equal opportunities and the employment rights of local individuals with physical, learning and support needs .
Creating green corridors
The social enterprise, Care In The Garden, is based at Palmer’s Brook Nursery, Park Road, Wootton. They were contracted, as a team, to manufacture the bespoke wooden picnic benches and planters.
The addition of new outdoor seating rest areas, has created a green corridor of community space parklets, making the best use of the outdoor resource.
Shop local
Local independent family owned traders on High Streets, and the many charitable organisations have been adversely affected by the Covid restrictions over the past two years, so shop local.
We all need to learn that to affect the changes we want to see in our local communities, we all need to work together. Whilst it is always nice to be given awards change would be better.
Best Wishes for the Festive season.
