‘No Isle of Wight Fixed Link’ campaigners launch new Website

Thanks to Stuart Brown for this latest news from the ‘No Fixed Link’ campaign. Ed

The campaign “NO Isle of Wight Fixed Link” are pleased to announce the launch of our new formal Website, which contains our primary reasons for opposing any Solent Tunnel fixed link project with reasoned argument, statistics and expert testimony.

Over the coming months more information will be added to the site along with testimony from other organisations we are currently in contact with that share our views

Using social media platforms
The site will run in conjunction with our Twitter, Facebook Page and Facebook Group Forum, which have seen the sizes beginning to swell through both support and interest in our campaign over the last few months

Support for a referendum
We maintain the best way to settle the subject of a fixed link is by public consultation and ultimately an Island-wide referendum before anything formal is considered.

We see no new information as of yet to suggest the threat of a fixed link is likely in the foreseeable future, but will continue to raise awareness of our campaign.

Visit “NO Isle of Wight Fixed Link”for more information.
