The Isle of Wight Branch of Parkinson’s UK are organising a special fund raising concert on Friday 23rd August at St John the Evangelist Church, Sandown commencing at 7.45pm.

The excellent Phoenix Choir will be performing songs from their 2013 programme covering a wide range of musical styles.

Whilst admission is free, there will be a retiring collection, a raffle and refreshments will be available.

Local support for Pakinson’s sufferers
The local branch of Parkinson’s UK aim to support sufferers by assisting in the funding of a range of services which will benefit those in need.

A scheme involving gardeners, decorators, chiropodists and hairdressers operates by vouchers being redeemed by suppliers who have provided help. A contribution toward the taxi fare is also available to those attending hospital appointments. Other facilities include a hydro, and exercise classes with a teacher specialising in Parkinson’s.

Local fundraising vital
Sufferers can also benefit from subsidised outings, trips and holidays and personal equipment needs. Contributions to Parkinson’s research nationally are also essential.

Additional fund raising is always a priority, and the Isle of Wight Branch of Parkinson’s UK hope that you will support this forthcoming concert, where we are sure you will have an enjoyable evening, and at the same time help those who are unfortunate enough to have this progressive neurological condition.
