Island line trains back in service :

Points failure causes major disruption to Island Line trains

After the suspension of part of the line yesterday due to shift in the conductor rail, Island Line Trains are this morning operating on a one train service after points failed on the line.

Trains on only running between Shanklin (at 18 minutes past the hour) and Ryde St John’s (leaving at 53 minutes past the hour).

Taxis (when there are enough passengers to fill them) will be running between Ryde St John’s and the Esplanade and Pier Head.

The second train is stuck the other side of the failed points.

We’ll let you know once we hear more.
