Police appeal after fire in Ventnor

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fire in a flat in High Street, Ventnor.

Officers were alerted to the fire just after 10.43pm on Wednesday, May 21.

Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were on the scene. They had extinguished the fire and evacuated residents, none of which were injured.

Police are working with IWFRS in order to establish the cause of the fire and would be keen to speak to anyone who may have any information that could assist with those enquiries.
