Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two men after a Toyota car was extensively damaged in Oakfield in Ryde last week (Thursday, August 23).

Footage from CCTV has shown a youth who is wearing a light coloured hoodie with the hood up throwing a large rock at the silver Toyota which was parked on the owner’s driveway. Another youth in dark clothing is seen hiding behind a wall on the junction of Reed Street and High Street (where the car was park).

Investigating Officer, PC Carolyn Pointing said:

“We are interested in hearing from anyone who may have information to help us identify the two youths seen in the CCTV footage.

“This is the second time that the victim has had his car targeted and the roof and windscreen were both badly damaged. We are keen to find these suspects so they can assist us with our enquiries.”

Anyone with information can contact PC Pointing at Newport DCID by phoning 101. Information can be given anonymously by phoning the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
