An application to convert five holiday homes into permanent residencies is open to public consultation.
The five holiday homes have been on the market since January 2023 and only received one offer, which the applicant says was “well below the market price”.
Much needed residential lettings
The application lodged with Isle of Wight council planning department is calling on the planning restriction to lift the holiday let only restriction to allow for long-term residential letting.
The applicant explains,
“Though the apartments are well occupied during the holiday season, they are largely empty over the late autumn, winter and early spring.
“The market for residentials on the other hand is thriving.”
Have your say
The public consultation runs until Friday 11th October 2024.
You can have your say on the council’s planning register (24/01341/FUL).
