Contactless payments on floating bridge

Regular users of the Cowes Floating Bridge to be surveyed

A survey of Floating Bridge Saver Card holders will be undertaken over the next eight weeks as part of the council’s ambitions to improve customer experiences on the link between Cowes and East Cowes.

Survey of Saver Card holders
Cllr Phil Jordan, Cabinet member for transport and infrastructure, said,

“We value the opinion of residents who use the floating bridge and we are currently looking to obtain the views of people who use the service on a regular basis, therefore we are undertaking a survey of Saver Card holders.

“These regular travellers have continued to use the service over the past 12 months despite the difficult circumstances that have faced the nation as we recover from Covid restrictions.

“The survey will allow us to better understand their use of the floating bridge and their perceptions of the service provided.  We also very much welcome their thoughts on how the service can be improved.

“We will use the information obtained through the consultation to gauge the current impression of the service and will evaluate all suggestions to improve the service implementing these wherever practically possible.”

Survey will be emailed
The survey will be emailed to over 5,000 Saver Card holders and the consultation will end on 19th September.
