Rise in Isle of Wight Covid deaths and over 100 new positive tests

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust has sadly had to register a number of Covid-19 positive deaths in the last week.

Today (Wednesday) the Government’s Covid Dashboard records three new deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test, which including the three deaths recorded yesterday, takes the new cumulative total to 281.

The patients were aged between 54 to 94 with underlying health conditions.

As of 17th September (there is a lag in these figures) the total number of deaths where Covid-19 is mentioned on the death certificate also rose by two to 381.
