A rumour about some strange goings-on at the Isle of Wight council dropped into our Inbox yesterday.
It appears that a very senior officer of the council might have upset someone working there.
Here’s what we were told.
The question on everyone’s lips is who hid the large chunk of raw fish down behind the cupboard in a very senior officer’s domain at County Hall?
The stench was driving more sensitive members of staff to move offices before the place was more-or-less dismantled by Maintenance and the offending matter was found. A message? An accident? Who can say?
Fact or fiction?
Of course, this could all be total twaddle (hence why it’s tagged as rumour), but it came from a very reliable source, so we’re leaning towards believing it.
