Ryde Harriers continued their Winter series of club events with a 10km nominated run from their base at Ryde Rowing Club.
Julie King managed to sweep the points with a run of 47:18 only twelve seconds away from her nominated time. Second came Mandy Womack who was twenty five seconds inside her nomination of 49:35, with Rowland Sillito in third. Fastest on the night was Tom Blackwell in 41:40 whilst Sarah Kavanagh was fastest women in 44:26.
All Island Runners night
On the 17th February Ryde Harriers host the next All Island Runners night. An out-and-back course of 20 minutes as has been arranged with runners of all abilities from across the Island welcome to join in.
Ryde Rowing Club will be open from 7pm with a start time of 7:30pm for the run.
IW XC Championship
The annual Ryde Harriers cross-country series continues with the IW XC Championship on Sunday 22nd. Starting and finishing at Smallbrook Stadium there are races for men and women over seven and five miles respectively.
Runners must be 17 years old and above. The event is open to all for a fee of £3.
This is followed by and Arthur Biggs Handicap on Sunday 1st March. Both races start at 11am prompt with more details available at www.rydeharriers.co.uk or from club night meetings on a Tuesday.
