This afternoon as the public consultation on the proposed closure of nine of the eleven libraries comes to an end, protesters against the closures gathered outside County Hall.
Over the last few weeks, Cowes residents Rachel Beasley, Zoe Morgan and Amber Bazzoni had collected in excess of 1,800 signatures from concerned residents campaigning to keep Cowes library open.
Rowan Adams represented campaigners in Ventnor, who have collected a whopping 2,500+ signatures opposed to the closure of Ventnor library.
The petitions were presented to Cllr George Brown.
