The Royal Hotel in Ventnor, one of the Island’s best known and most respected hotels, announces an innovative new restaurant concept, Se7en, that features a uniquely curated 7-course tasting menu.
Se7en is a new contemporary dining experience for discerning foodies looking for the extraordinary, with influences from the Far East to the South Coast of England.
The newest ‘go to’ foodie experience
Head Chef Matt Egan, along with Sous Chef Jacob Gough, are breaking the mould of gastronomic expectations with a carefully curated seven course tasting menu that will appeal to food enthusiasts and dining connoisseurs, making Se7en the newest ‘go to’ foodie experience on the Island.
To further enhance your gastronomic evening, we are offering beautifully paired wines to complement each dish specially sourced by The Royal’s Front of House Manager, Stefan Dobre.
Egan: ‘Food has no rules’
Matt Egan says,
“This is a real step-change for The Royal, and I’m excited about the prospect of people coming to taste our incredible food that is enticing, sleek, and vibrant.
“Every aspect of Se7en fulfils my personal philosophy that ‘food has no rules’.”
Prew: Something unique and completely new
Chris Prew, Director of The Royal, says,
“The Royal is renowned for its high-quality service and food, with many people coming to us for a fine dining experience in our main Geranium Restaurant.
“However, Se7en allows us to offer something unique and completely new to our dinner guests.
“It’s a privilege to work with Matt Egan and the team that are always looking at new opportunities with great enthusiasm, and outstanding passion for their art.”

Se7en will be open to everyone, residents and non-residents, on Friday 14th October and Saturday 15th October 2022 and continues as an intimate dining offer on Friday and Saturday evenings at The Royal.
