Isle of Wight Conservative MP, Bob Seely, has announced that he will be putting his name forward to represent the Isle of Wight West constituency in the next General Election.
He said:
“I live in Isle of Wight West so that is the natural choice for me.”
In a statement, Seely said he was “disappointed” at losing the opportunity to represent the entire Island, but added that he would continue to represent the entire Island until the election.
Working together
He also pledged, if he was to be re-elected, to work with the MP for the other constituency to ensure that the Island’s interests are represented in Westminster.
The new boundaries for the Isle of Wight should be in place for the 2024 General Election, if following the Boundary Review, they are approved by Government.
