If you’ve recently had a stay of more than 48 hours at Sevenacres Mental Health Unit, you may well be one of the 100 people who have been randomly selected to receive a questionnaire asking for your views on the service.
As part of a nationwide programme being led by the Care Quality Commission, the local NHS team are keen to hear your views relating to various aspects of your stay and care.
You’ll be asked questions about your introduction to the ward, about the ward, relationships with health professionals, the care and treatment and your discharge from hospital.
We have a friend who recently stayed at Sevenacres and believe that the unit would definitely benefit from some patient feedback.
We’re told that the results will be compared with other units around the UK to identify which Trusts gained the most positive responses, so that their best practice can be shared.
Dr Dan Harwood, Clinical Director for Mental Health and Learning Disabilities on the Island said: “We hope that users of our services will take the time to help us by completing this survey. Their views are vital in helping us to find out how we are doing and highlighting areas that require improvement. This survey plays an important part in shaping the services we provide in the future and further improve the experiences of our service users.”
