A couple of VB readers got in touch with us last week pointing us to a new Website that apparently helps you ‘get to know your MP better’.
Thanks to Ed and Seb, who both sent us links to a site called SexyMP.co.uk
The creator of the site states that, “I thought it would be an interesting opportunity to hold the first ever parliamentary beauty contest and find out once and for all which MPs and Parties have the most sex-appeal. Although I fully expect this to offend some people, this was never my intention and I hope you will see the funny side.”
Top hotties
The current top three out of the 648 current MPs, include Conservative Claire Perry taking the number one slot, fellow Tory Rebecca Harris is hot on her heels in second and Scottish National Party member, Eilidh Whiteford takes third place.
The Island’s MP, Andrew Turner comes in (at time of writing) in position #494 and we expect he’ll secretly be pleased he’s beaten Eric Pickles who (at time of writing) was in position #616.
Andrew Turner told VB, “I haven’t seen the site myself and to be honest as long as Carole loves me I don’t care where I am in this particular league table. I haven’t asked her where she thinks I should be in the rankings – and perhaps it may be safer to leave that particular stone unturned!
“This could be seen as a bit of fun, and you do have to be pretty think skinned to be an MP. You need to be prepared to stand up for your views and policies, but on a more serious note I do worry that such things could put good people off standing for election.”
