Latest news just in from the fuzz is an appeal for residents of all ages to volunteer to become part of a committee whose aim will be to spruce up the Simeon Street Recreation Ground.
It is an area that the community have highlighted as needing improvement, so PCSO Ralphs is working hard to try and pull together a group of people who can help make this happen.
So far, Ryde Safer Neighbourhoods Team, Ryde Town Management, IW Council/Town Centre managers, as well as local businesses are all keen to get involved with the project.
Residents of Monkton Street, Simeon Street, Merrymead Close, West Hill Road, Rink Road, The Strand and surrounding roads are all invited to become members and young people are being particularly encouraged to get involved.
Questionnaires will be going out to residents for comments and suggestions in due course, so that even if you can’t spare time to be on the committee, you still have a chance to have your say.
