The chairman of the Isle of Wight council has announced the winner of the 2023 Christmas card design competition.
Skylette, aged six, will see her design of Carisbrooke Castle surrounded by a festive Christmas tree, a jolly snowman and snowfall featured on the Isle of Wight council chairman’s official Christmas card this year.
Critchison: All the designs were brilliant
Councillor Claire Critchison invited all island children and young people to come up with their best designs that showcased the Isle of Wight at Christmas.
Reflecting on the entries received, she said,
“Thank you to all those who took the time to enter. It was fantastic to have an amazing selection to choose from.
“All the designs were brilliant and it’s always hard to choose just one.
“Well done to all and I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”
