Did you know that car parking charges at St Mary’s on the Isle of Wight are pretty much the cheapest when compared to hospitals on the Mainland?
While researching the article about the St Mary’s consultation on car parking (don’t forget to have your say), we found the table with price comparisons on it.
Looking at the parking tickets offered at St Mary’s – up to 2/4/6 hours – all of them are cheaper than Isle of Wight council’s car parks; and the hospital car parks in Brighton; Portsmouth; Bournemouth; Salisbury; Southampton; Winchester.
Southampton hospital 3 times the price
Some of them many times cheaper – for example Southampton hospital is nearly three times the price for the ‘up to 2 hours’ ticket.
The only one that is slightly more expensive is 20p more for the 24 hour ticket than Salisbury hospital but St Mary’s is less than half the price of the same ticket at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
