Allan Marsh has been in touch to share an important warning with OnTheWight readers.
He tells us of a story experienced by a friend of his recently which resulted in a tragic outcome.
WARNING TO ALL owners out there who have both a cat and dog.
A friend of mine has just flea treated both her cat and dog. She is a long standing, experienced, intelligent owner, however, has accidentally put the dog flea treatment on the cat (and not even the whole dose).
Sadly this is poisonous to the cat and despite rapid vet treatment, the cat has passed away. The warning on the packet is in small print so difficult to see.
At this time of year many owners are treating their pets so please take care.
