Yesterday marked the launch to The Tree Council’s annual Tree Care Campaign.
The campaign, which runs from 21st March to 21 September aims to raise awareness for the need for better care for all trees.
It’s been running since 1999 and is encouraging those who have planted trees in the last five years to go back to the tree and carry out a few tasks that will ensure a long life.
Simple tasks make a huge differenceThings such as clearing weeds, mulching and checking ties can make a huge difference to the tree reaching maturity they say.
