Uncover the ocean’s hidden plastic: Family-friendly Nurdle Walk with Planet Aware

On Saturday 7th October, the team from Planet Aware will be hosting a family-friendly nurdle special as part of the Isle of Wight Walking Festival.

Sarah from Planet Aware explains,

“We will take in the beautiful ocean views from Brook to Compton, part of the AONB, whilst learning more about the notorious nurdles and hunting for them in the sand.

“We will encounter a tale, creative moment or game in relation to these plastic pellets that are polluting our oceans and coastline, along the way.”

She adds,

“Plastic pollution is damaging our marine environment so join us in this awareness raising walk, have some fun and time by the sea and hopefully return home with some ideas for positive change.”

Where and when
The walk starts on Saturday 7th October at 11.30am and a voluntary donation is requested, but not obligatory.

It starts at Brook National Trust Car Park and ends at Compton Bay.
