Ventnor Town Council have secured funding to provide additional services for the No 31 bus.
They have announced that the local bus service will continue to operate on its current route servicing St Lawrence and Bonchurch Village, via Ventnor Boots, and will now provide an additional journey on Tuesdays and Fridays, as well as operating four journeys on Saturday mornings.
A spokesperson for the council said,
“We hope that this will support the transport needs of Bonchurch residents, following the closure of Leeson Road and be an improved service for St Lawrence residents.”
Buses will run from Ventnor Boots at 9.45am, 10.45am, 11.45am and 12.45pm on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
