Long-time News OnTheWight readers will recall many articles over the last decade featuring the incredible efforts of Georgia Wyatt-Lovell, and her husband, Steve, of helping to swerve many tonnes of other people’s unwanted plastic from landfill.
In 2018 the duo launched the Inflatable Amnesty, an innovative initiative which featured on TV and in countless magazines and newspapers. It resulted in a huge influx of unwanted inflatables that the team repurposed into fashionable and functional bags.
Sustainability pioneers
As pioneers of this unique approach, Georgia and Steve are able to provide a sustainable solution to waste reduction, at the same time as breathing new life into materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.
In 2023 the company pivoted to rebrand as We Are IA.
Creative design and craftsmanship
Through their creative design and craftsmanship, We Are IA continues to transform former inflatable lilos, pool toys, paddling pools, and similar items into an exclusive range of products, from small wallets to large bags, catering to various tastes and needs.
This groundbreaking initiative is a testament to the possibilities of recycling and the positive impact of sustainable practices on the environment. And it all happens right here on the Isle of Wight.
