Thumbs up to Island based bottled water producers Wight Crystal who have generously offered to sponsor Ventnor’s Lifeguard Team with free spring water for a year. How great to see cross charity support.
Wight Crystal is a sheltered workshop and is part of the Osel charity which gives work placements and training to people on the Island who are disabled or disadvantaged. The charity gives people the opportunity of on-the-job training through Wight Crystal and its other enterprises, which helps them enter the employment market, whilst still being supported and mentored by Osel.
Donations for the Beach Safety Group have been streaming in … an amazing £1294 was raised from the Boxing Day Swim.
But they still need more support and every penny donated will go to good use.
