As we’d mentioned to you, we’d been hearing that some of the Conservative councillors might be leaving the Tory fold at the Isle of Wight council.
Well, well, well. Guess what’s happened?
William Wyatt-Millington, formerly the Conservative member for Chale, Niton and Whitwell has resigned his seat.
He spoke at the full council meeting last night, and as his position is now showing as ‘vacant’ on the Isle of Wight Council site, he must have resigned after last nights meeting where all of the cut were announced.
UPDATE: The council press office have since confirmed he resigned this morning.
We haven’t had a chance to speak to him directly, but hope to soon to find out more.
Thanks to VentnorBlog reader Daniel Clarke for bring it to our attention.
