Police are making an appeal for witnesses as an investigation continues into a road traffic collision on the Isle of Wight.
Officers were called at 11.20am on Sunday, July 24, 2011 to the B3399 middle road at Tapnell near Freshwater on the island.
The collision involved two motorcycles, and a tractor towing a trailer.
One of the motorcycle riders, a 40-year-old man from Cowes, Isle of Wight, received serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
The second motorcyclist, a 48-year-old man from Cowes, Isle of Wight, received minor injuries.
The tractor driver was not injured.
Part of the middle road was closed for eight-and-a-half hours while emergency services were at the scene and police started an investigation.
The Isle of Wight Roads Policing Unit (RPU) is appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone who saw the motorcyclists prior to the collision.
