Andrew Turner votes against Data Retention and Investigatory Powers Bill

Isle of Wight Conservative MP, Andrew Turner , has today been one of thirty MP who voted against the Data Retention and Investigatory Powers Bill (DRIP for short) in the House of Commons today.

It was highlighted on a Website and then later confirmed in a Tweet by Andrew:

Back in 2012 he made it clear that he was concerned about the then Government proposals on monitoring the private communications of the UK public, commenting that if passed it “could be the start of a slippery slope.”
