Here’s an interest coming two together of two events that could lead to a lot more people coming to the Island in support of the Vestas sit-in.
An event called the Big Green Gathering was due to be taking place in the Mendip hills between 29th July to 2nd Aug.
The organisers of that event have just called the event off due to a “threatened injunction proceedings in High Court by Mendip District Council supported by Somerset & Avon Police.”
People who were planning to go to that event are now talking about coming down to the Island to show their support for the Vestas sit-in.
Vestival
They’re labelled it Vestival – the Vestas festival.
Looks like the numbers of people coming on the roundabout might be increasing dramatically. Not sure where they’re all going to go.
