Kasabian will be playing the main stage on Sunday at Isle of Wight Festival 2011.
The UK band, whose name comes from Linda Kasabian, of one the Charles Manson family, won Best British Group at the 2010 Brit Awards.
John Giddings told VB yesterday, “I want to do something great, I want people to want to stay for Sunday night and see a great band that gets them going and I think I’ve booked one.”
Going on to say, “They’ve got more awards than I’ve had hot dinners” he’s not wrong.
As well as the Brits, they were voted ‘Best Act In The World Today’ in the 2010 Q Awards. Their album, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, won ‘Best Album’ in the NME and Q Awards this year and the single, ‘Fire’, won ‘Song of the Year’ in the MOJO Awards.
