Online comedy has meant she can do her own thing and make her own opportunities, says Isle of Wight writer, Hannah George, who last night picked up a Writers' Guild Award.
Hannah grew up in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight and has since spread her wings into the world of comedy.
She kick-started her career with a degree in comedy from Southampton Solent University, finding herself labelled “officially Britain’s funniest woman” by The Sun newspaper. Performing a stack of stand up gigs, she honed her craft.
In more recent years, Hannah has focused on writing for TV and has picked up many awards.
