Ryde Academy students collected Christmas treats for local community hub Aspire Ryde through the school's house system, with Blue house winning the most points
Ryde Academy Dance Teacher, Hilary Seaton, had the honour of being invited to a lunch in Cardiff to celebrate Rubicon Dance’s 40th birthday where she was told that dancers at the Academy are some of the best in the country.
The school was chosen under the first phase of the Department for Education’s PSBP to benefit from a multi million pound new school building on the existing site, with a student capacity of 1,500.
The council leader says "Ofsted outcomes are demonstrating that education has turned the corner on the Island" and praises Ryde Academy on their recent inspection.
This is very good news for the staff, pupils and parents. Ofsted have seen a dramatic improvement in the culture of the school and can see it's well on the way to becoming a 'Good' school. Well done to all involved.
