The previous PCC had committed to have the Hampshire Constabulary renamed to include the Isle of Wight. The new PCC, Michael Lane, is dropping the idea.
PCC – Police and Crime Commissioner
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight came into being in November 2012.
The first PCC was Independent, Simon Hayes.
The second PCC was elected following polling on Thursday 5th May 2016.
