Southampton's planning committee have approved the £33.5m plans to relocate Red Funnel's ferry terminal, despite objections from ABP and Carnival Cruises.

The Royal Pier development – which intends to create 6,000 new jobs – will sit on the current site of the Red Funnel ferry terminal.
It was first announced in 2014, but five years later, it was revealed the plans had been scrapped.
