Alan Clark to reveal insights on the Island’s unstable shores at Ventnor History Society event

Last updated:

This Friday’s talk by the Ventnor and District Local History Society should be of interest to many residents given the recent landslides in Bonchurch and coastal erosion along the Military Road.

Alan Clark will be presenting a talk titled, The Island’s Unstable Coast.

Starting at 7.30pm at the Yarborough Masonic Hall in Grove Road (doors open at 7pm), the Society welcome members, as well as non-members, to their regular monthly meetings held usually on the last Friday of the month (except August or December).

Wide range of subjects
Each month speakers cover a wide range of topics focused on the history of Ventnor, the surrounding area, and the Isle of Wight.

Meetings are very well attended, with often 50 people attending, and are held at the Yarborough Masonic Hall in Grove Road, Ventnor (just round the corner from the Heritage Centre).

Entrance cost
Entry is free to members of the Society (£12 per year membership), but non-members must pay £2 entrance.
