Shanklin Rotary Sale

Annual Shanklin Rotary Sale: Two-week sale launches at YMCA Winchester House

The Shanklin Rotary Club is gearing up for its highly anticipated Annual Sale, which starts on Tuesday, 14th January 2025.

Running for two weeks, the event will be held at Winchester House on Sandown Road, Shanklin, with doors opening daily at 10am. The sale will continue until 4pm each day between Tuesday 14th to Saturday 18th January and then again at the same times from Tuesday 21st to Saturday 25th January 2025.

What to expect
Shoppers can expect a wide variety of items, including clothing, furniture, toys, books, pictures, tools, electrical goods, bric-a-brac, linen, CDs and gardening and sports equipment.

The sale is a great opportunity for residents to discover quality second-hand goods, while supporting vital community initiatives.

Expanding efforts
This year, the Shanklin Rotary Club is preparing for a larger-scale event, with more space available to display and sell items.

Over 40 volunteers are joining forces with the club to collect, organise and sell donations. This major recycling effort not only supports local charities and organisations, but also contributes to overseas emergency aid and reduces landfill waste.

Supporting the community
Unsold items will be redistributed to other Isle of Wight charitable outlets or sold to companies that provide goods to those in need.

By working within and for the local community, the Rotary Club ensures that every donation makes a difference.

How you can help
The Rotary Club is encouraging locals to donate generously to help maximise the sale’s impact.

A phone number for collections will be shared closer to the event date. Meanwhile, mark your calendar and visit Winchester House from 14th to 25th January to support this fantastic initiative.

The club has highlighted the importance of community involvement, saying,

“The more you donate, the more we can sell, and the more support we can give.”

Don’t miss out
There are always a great number of bargains to be had at the Annual Rotary Sale, so make sure you don’t miss out.

Last year the sale raised £25,000 for local causes.
