We are massive, massive fans of Apocalypse Now and we’re not alone. The 1979 Francis Ford Coppola has frequently been described as ‘genius’, indeed film critics nominated it as ‘the best film of the past three decades,’ in 2009.
It’s just been remastered – we don’t mean fiddled around with, or Reduxed – they’ve simply cleaned the print and sound up, keeping to the original edit of the film.
Newly remastered
A preview showing of it at the recent Cannes film festival has brought the film critics out again, reminding all quite how brilliant it is.
Philip French, film critic of the Guardian, said, “Apocalypse Now is not merely the greatest film to come out of the Vietnam experience but one of the great works about the madness of our times.”

If you’re like us, you haven’t ever seen it at the cinema, but have seen it many times on video – on a small screen – this one night event isn’t to be missed.
